At the end of 2017, Uniekaas Holland and DOC Dairy Partners have joined forces.

Since then we‘ve worked hard to further professionalise our products and services in the field of Private Label as well as for our Uniekaas brand. As you might have noticed, we’ve already integrated a number of commercial activities. The next step in this process is that the company name DOC Dairy Partners will become Uniekaas Holland BV, in 2021.

At the beginning of 2021, we will inform you of the additional adaptations this change will bring.

Edam, Traditional Dutch cheese

Edam cheese is named after an old Dutch town called Edam. In the 14th century, Edam was an important port from which the cheeses were shipped to other parts of the country as well as abroad. Original Edam is made from cow’s milk, has a very mild flavor and is consumed while still immature. The minimum fat percentage of Edam is 40%. Edam can also be ordered as Mimolette: a variety of Edam that has an orange-red colour.

Edam Cuisine

DOC Edam Cuisine is a hard and low fat Dutch grating cheese. The cheese is a ripened hard cheese in conformity with the General Standard for Cheese (CODEX STAN 283-1978). Edam Cuisine is made from cow’s milk, has a very mild flavor, slightly salty or nutty. The minimum fat percentage is 40% in dry matter. This cheese has a significantly lower fat-content than many other traditional cheeses. Edam Cuisine has a low moisture content so therefore perfectly used as 'Cheese Powder' in the preparation of meals, snacks & salads. It can be a substitute for the expensive Parmesan cheese.
